| November 7 | Katie Pederson, Central, Jr., MH | Hit .315, and averaged 3.14
kills and 1.86 blocks per game in four matches during the week, leading
Central to its first Iowa Conference Tournament title since 2001. In
the regular season finale, a 3-0 victory over Cornell, had six kills.
In the quarterfinals of the Iowa Conference Tournament, a 3-0 victory
over Luther, she had eight kills, four blocks and three digs. Set a
school record with 18 blocks (five solo) in a 3-2 victory over Simpson
in the semifinals, also contributing 15 kills and hitting .310. Hit
.419 with 15 kills and three blocks in a sweep of Cornell in the Championship
match. |
| October 31 | Ashley Rogers, Wartburg, Fr., MH | Had two double-doubles, hit .303,
and averaged 4.00 kills and 3.38 digs in 16 games during the week. In
a three-set Conference win over Coe, she had 11 kills and six digs.
Led Wartburg to a 3-1 record at the Quad City Classic, recording 10
kills, 12 digs, three blocks and hitting .391 in the lone loss, 3-0
to Carthage. In a 3-0 win over Viterbo, had 14 kills, nine digs and
four blocks. Hit .500 with 14 kills, five digs and seven blocks in a
3-0 win over Brescia. Second double-double of the week came in a 3-1
victory over Augustana (Ill.) as she registered 15 kills and 22 digs. |
| October 24 | Jamie Stark, Central, Sr., MH | Hit .408, averaged 4.0 kills
and 1.69 digs per game to lead Central to a 5-0 week, including three
victories over nationally ranked teams at the Wisconsin-Whitewater Invitational.
Set a school record with an .846 hitting percentage in a 3-1 win over
#15-Wisconsin-River Falls. Her hitting percentage is the fourth-highest
single-match percentage in Division III history (min. 20 attempts). |
| October 17 | Amber Rippentrop, Dubuque Fr., S | Was named to the Illinois Wesleyan
All-Tournament Team leading the Spartans to a 4-0 record at the Tournament.
Averaged 12.06 assists and 3.59 digs per game in 17 games during the
week, recording double-doubles in all five matches. |
| October 10 | Jess Griggs, Buena Vista, Sr., OH | Hit .338 and averaged 3.38 kills,
5.0 digs and 0.62 blocks per game in two matches during the week. In
a 3-0 victory over Luther, had eight kills, 14 digs and hit .421. Had
19 kills, 26 digs, four blocks and hit .304 in a 3-2 victory over Grand
View. |
| October 3 | Kori Sims, Cornell, Sr., MH | Hit .375 and averaged 4.61 kills,
0.72 digs and 0.72 blocks/game in 18 games during the week leading Cornell
to a 3-1 record. Had over 20 kills and hit over .400 in two Conference
matches during the week – a 3-1 win over Loras (21 kills, .474 hitting
pct., 7 digs) and a 3-2 win over Buena Vista (20 kills, .432 hitting
pct.). |
| September 26 | Kori Sims, Cornell, Sr., MH | Named to the Wheaton (Ill.) Invitational
All-Tournament Team after hitting .393 while averaging 3.47 kills/game,
1.06 digs/game and 0.76 blocks/game in 17 games. She hit over. 400 twice,
in a 3-2 victory over Trinity International (.452), and in a 3-2 loss
to North Park (.435). |
| September 19 | Tessa Prati, Central, So., RS | Led the Dutch to a 5-0 week,
including a 4-0 mark at the Central Classic to earn All-Tournament Team
honors. In 19 games, hit .336 (53 kills-14 errors-116 total attacks),
had 27 digs and 11 blocks. Hit .833 (15K-0E-18TA) in a 3-0 win over
Buena Vista and recorded a double-double in a 3-1 win over Wartburg
(10 kills-15 digs). Also reached double-digit in kills and hit over
.300 in a 3-1 win over Bethel (15 kills, .323 hitting pct.). |
| September 12 | Shannon Stewart, Simpson, Sr., MH/OH | Named Most Valuable Player of the
St. Mary’s (Minn.) Sugar Loaf Classic. She led Simpson to a 5-0 week,
including a 4-0 record in the Sugar Loaf Classic, averaging 4.62 kills/game,
1.94 digs/game and 0.88 blocks/game while hitting .321. |
| September 5 | Hope Coffin, Cornell, Fr., S | Averaged 10.2 assists, 1.07 digs and
0.87 aces in 15 games during the week leading the Rams to a 4-0 start.
In a 3-1 victory over Monmouth (Ill.) she set a school record with eight
service aces in her first varsity match. Also contributed 40 assists
and six digs. Had 30 assists, four aces, three digs and hit .667 in
a 3-0 victory over Greenville (Ind.). Had 41 assists in a second 3-1
victory over Monmouth (Ill.), and 42 assists and five digs in a 3-1
victory over Buena Vista. |
