February 27 Josh Hauser, Wartburg, Jr.
Named Iowa Conference Indoor Track and Field Most Valuable Performer with four top-three finishes. Won the 200-meter dash, breaking his own Conference record with a time of 22.22 seconds, and ran the lead-off leg of the winning 4x200 relay (1:30.56). Also placed third in the 400-meter dash (50.20) and the long jump (21-11.75) leading the Knights to a share of their third straight Conference Championship.
February 20 Matt Albert, Simpson, Sr.
Four top-10 finishes at the Knox Invitational. Member of the winning 4x200 relay team (1:33.02), finished fourth in the 55-meter hurdles (7.96), fifth in the 200-meter dash (23.23) and eighth in the triple jump (39-5).
February 13 John Reilly, Loras, Sr.
Won the shot put at the Monmouth (Ill.) Fighting Scot Invitational with an NCAA provisional qualifying throw of 53-0
February 6 Tyler Sherden, Luther, So.
Set the school, meet and venue record in the 400-meter dash at the Luther Alumni Meet with an NCAA provisional qualifying time of 49.39.
January 30 Matt Albert, Simpson, Sr.
Placed in the top-5 of six events at the Cornell Quadrangular and accounted for 42.5 of Simpson’s 169 points in the meet. Won the long jump (20-4.25), 55-meter hurdles (8.02) and the 400-meter dash (51.33). Placed second in the triple jump (39-10.75), third in the 200-meter dash (23.63) and tied for fourth in the pole vault (8-6).
January 23 Cale Van Genderen, Central, Sr.
Won two events at the Central Invitational, including the high jump with an NCAA Championship automatic qualifying jump of 7-0.5, topping the AQ mark by 1¾” and breaking his own school record by ¾”. Also won the triple jump with a mark of 43-6.5.
January 16 Nick Bowerman, Simpson, Sr.
Won the mile run (4:32.27) and was a member of the winning 4x800 relay team (8:41.37) at the Graceland Invitational.
