IOWA CONFERENCE GOES GLOBAL
CONFERENCE WEB SITE TO LAUNCH MONDAY

MOUNT VERNON, IA . . . The Iowa Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (IIAC) announced today that it will launch its official web site at 11:00 am CT on Monday, September 24, 2001.  The web site, (www.iowaconference.com), will provide media and fans around the world the opportunity to visit one web site to keep up on Conference news, statistics and results.

“This web site will not only be an informational tool for the media and our member schools, but will also be a promotional tool for the Iowa Conference that allows prospects, parents and fans to learn about our institutions and the exciting athletic and academic opportunities provided to young women and men,”  IIAC Commissioner John T. Cochrane said.

In addition to news and statistics, Cochrane will write a column that will keep the media and fans informed about the issues impacting the Conference and NCAA Division III athletics.  With e-mail links, the site allows fans easy access to all IIAC Athletic Directors, Sports Information Directors and Head Coaches.  As construction of the site continues, lists of team and individual National and Conference Champions will be added.

The IIAC web site was designed by Conference Director of Information William Wolper and Chuck Massarolo, who previously has web design and maintenance experience with the Quad City Mallards (UHL).

Any recommendations or questions regarding the web site, as well as any problems that might be encountered while navigating the site should be directed to William Wolper at wwolper@iowaconference.com.
