the Iowa Conference Student Athlete Advisory Council
1. The purpose of the Council will be to provide a communication
link between student athletes and the athletic administration
of the IIAC member institutions.

Each member institution shall have two student representatives
on the Iowa Conference Student Athlete Advisory Council.
Each institution is required to be represented by one
male and one female student athlete. It is highly recommended
that one senior and one non-senior student athlete represent
each institution.
3.
There will be two regular meetings each year. One meeting
will be held in the fall and shall coincide with the Athletic
Directors and Faculty Representatives meeting. The other
meeting shall be held in the spring and be held in late
April via ICN. Specific times and dates will be determined
by March 1st.
4.
SAAC shall select two (2) representatives to be present
at the joint meeting of Athletics Directors and Faculty
Representatives to review legislation and provide appropriate
information as necessary. One of the representatives would
be the current chair, the other would be next year’s
chair. The SAAC may sponsor Conference legislation through
a Faculty Representative.
5.
Voting shall be one vote per institution.
6.
There will be two advisors assigned to assist the council.
One individual shall be named by the Athletic Directors
and one from the Faculty Representatives. Their terms
shall be two years with the individuals alternating years
to provide continuity. The advisor terms may be renewable.
7.
The Iowa Conference Student Athlete Advisory Council constitution
shall be kept on file in the conference office. Further
information regarding the council governance is provided
in the constitution.
