Solverson, a senior, set the Iowa Conference 8,000-meter
record with a 24:59 finish, knocking three seconds off the old mark
set last year by Wartburg’s Josh Moen. He won the meet by
34-seconds and was named Conference Most Valuable Runner.

and finished third overall at Loras College’s Dr. Robert Tucker
Invitational. He finished the 67-runner race in 26:21, 11-seconds
ahead of the next collegiate runner.

Open. His time of 25:28.4 was 11.1 seconds ahead of the next closest

Solverson, a senior, placed fourth (of 411 runners)
at the University of Minnesota’s Roy Griak Invitational Maroon
Race (Division II and III). He finished the 8,000-meter race in
25:31.79, his top 8K time of the year and just 19.25 seconds behind
the winner. The Knights’ finished fourth in the 43-team race. |

Grant, a sophomore, finished 43rd overall (of 265
runners) and 14th (of 162) among non-Division I runners at the National
Catholic Invitational hosted by the University of Notre Dame. He
ran the 8,000-meter course in 26:37 to lead Loras to a third-place
finish in the college division, the highest finish among Division
III schools. |

(Minn.) Invitational in a time of 26:47, besting the second-place
finisher by three seconds to lead the Knights to a third-place finish
in the eight team meet. The victory was Solverson’s second
in as many races this year. |
