Ryan Kinseth, Wartburg College, Fort Dodge, Iowa/Fort Dodge
Kinseth, a senior, shot a 148 (71-77) in the final two rounds of the Iowa Conference men’s golf Championship to earn individual medalist honors. He finished the 72-hole Championship at 5-over-par 293 (71-74-71-77) using his third round 71 to move from one stroke behind the leader to a two stoke lead. Kinseth’s final round 77 was enough to hold the two stroke advantage and lead the Knights to their second Championship in three years behind the top-four individual finishers.

Ben Hanson, Luther College, Richfield, Minn./Richfield
Hanson, a junior, posted two sub-par rounds during the week and is the leader halfway through the Iowa Conference Championship. He shot a 70 in the second round of the Conference meet and has an even-par 144 through 36-holes to lead by one stroke. Hanson also went under par with a 67 in the first round of the 54-hole Gustavus Adolphus Invitational. He finished t-15th with a 230 (67-82-81).

Kevin Ault, Wartburg College, Fort Dodge, Iowa/Fort Dodge
Ault, a senior, tied for second at the 103-golfer Buena Vista Invitational with a 4-over-par 148 (68-80). His first round 68 was the tournament’s low round, tied for Wartburg’s team low round of the season and the second lowest round of the season in the Conference. He finished one stroke behind Medalist John Treacy of St. Thomas (Minn.) and was tied with Nebraska Wesleyan’s Aaron Stockton.

Ben Hanson, Luther College, Richfield, Minn./Richfield
Hanson, a junior, won the Wartburg Invitational with a 1-over-par 143. After shooting a 76 in the opening round, he equaled the Tournament’s low round with a three-under-par 67 to move from a fourth-place tie after one round to the top of the leaderboard, winning by four strokes.

Derek Deminsky, Central College, Rogers, Minn./Elk River
Deminsky, a sophomore, finished second of 103 golfers at the Loras Duhawk Spring Invitational with a 1-under-par 71. The top finishing Iowa Conference golfer at the tournament that featured all nine Conference schools, he finished one stroke behind the Medalist, Brock Ferry of Mount Mercy and led Central to the team title in the 20-team tournament.

Alvaro DeCosio, Central College, Pueblo, Mexico/Loyola
DeCosio, a junior, finished second at the Central Dutch Classic with a two-over-par 74 in the 80-golfer field. He finished first among competitors from four-year colleges, finishing two strokes behind the winner, Cedrick Bertin of Kirkwood Community College.

Derek Deminsky, Central College, Rogers, Minn./Elk River
Deminsky, a sophomore, won the Dutch Desert Shootout at the Palm Valley Golf Course (in Goodyear, Ariz.) with a three-under-par 69.
