Harrison Kibombo-Lugujjo, Wartburg College, Kampala, Uganda/RCNUWC (Norway)
Kibombo-Lugujjo, a senior forward, scored three goals in two games of the Iowa Conference men’s soccer Tournament, including the game winner in each match. He scored twice in Wartburg’s 4-0 semifinal victory over Luther and scored off a direct free kick in the 106th minute of the Championship match against Loras, giving the Knights a 2-1 win and their third Tournament title in four years.

Clint Schreiber, Central College, South Elgin, Ill./St. Charles North
Schreiber, a sophomore midfielder, scored two goals in Central’s 3-1 victory over Conference co-Champion Wartburg.

Oct. 22
Clint Schreiber, Central College, South Elgin, Ill./St. Charles North
Schreiber, a sophomore midfielder, scored Central’s lone goal in a pair of 1-0 victories during the week over St. Thomas (Minn.) and Concordia-Moorhead.
Oct. 15
Harrison Kibombo-Lugujjo, Wartburg College, Kampala, Uganda/RCNUWC (Norway)
Kibombo-Lugujjo, a senior forward, scored six goals and had an assist in three games during the week to reach the 20-goal mark for the second consecutive season. He began the week with a goal in the Knights’ 4-0 victory over Buena Vista. Wartburg extended its win streak to nine with back-to-back 5-0 victories over Dubuque and Millikin with Kibombo-Lugujjo scoring the game winning goal in both contests. He scored two goals against Dubuque and had three goals and an assist against Millikin. (IIAC Male Athlete of the Week)
Oct. 8
Nicholas Cookston, University of Dubuque, Lincoln, Neb./Lincoln Luther
Cookston, a sophomore forward, scored four goals including two game winners in a pair of identical games during the week. In Dubuque’s 3-2 win over Cornell and 3-0 win over #9-ranked Wisconsin-Platteville, he scored two goals on five shots and connected on a penalty kick in each game. He is now a perfect 6-of-6 on penalty kicks this season.

Harrison Kibombo-Lugujjo, Wartburg College, Kampala, Uganda/RCNUWC (Norway)
Kibombo-Lugujjo, a senior forward, scored four goals and added an assist for nine points in two games during the week. He netted his third career hat trick in Wartburg’s 3-1 win over North Park. In an 8-0 Conference win over Coe, he scored a goal and had an assist as the Knights extended their unbeaten streak to eight (7-0-1).
Sept. 24
Mark Maguire, Buena Vista University, Sioux City, Iowa/North
Maguire, a junior goalkeeper, made 13 saves in a 0-0 double-overtime tie with preseason Conference favorite Central, to help snap Buena Vista’s six-game losing streak.
Sept. 17
Mike Richter, Loras College, Libertyville, Ill./Carmel
Richter, a junior forward, scored three goals and had an assist for seven points in two games during the week. He netted three of Loras’ four goals, including the game winner, in a 4-0 victory over Augustana (Ill.) and assisted on the game tying goal in the Duhawks’ 2-1 victory over #17-ranked Wheaton (Ill.).
Sept. 10
Nicholas Cookston, Univ. of Dubuque, Lincoln, Neb./Lincoln Luther
Cookston, a sophomore forward, scored five goals and added three assists for 13 points in three games during the week. In the Spartans’ 4-1 win over Maranatha Baptist, he scored two goals, both on penalty kicks. Cookston also had two goals and added an assist in a 3-1 victory over Mount Mercy before finishing the week with a goal and two assists in a 6-1 win over Rockford.
Sept. 3
Cody Stoermer, Central College, Coralville, Iowa/Iowa City West
Stoermer, a junior forward, had a hand in all four goals Central scored in two games during the week. He scored the Dutch’s lone goal in a 2-1 loss to Hamline, and scored two goals and added an assist in a 3-1 victory over Grinnell. (IIAC Male Athlete of the Week)
