Eduardo Axcer Way, Wartburg College, Chicago, Ill./Schurz
Axcer Way, a freshman forward, scored four goals during the Knights’ three-game run through the Iowa Conference tournament as the third-seeded Knights won their fourth league tournament title and claimed their seventh consecutive NCAA tournament berth. He scored the game-winner in the 14th minute of a 2-0 championship match win over Loras Nov. 8. His four-goal week moved him into first place on Wartburg’s scoring list for the season (9). Miguel Bonilla, Loras College, Cali, Colombia/Colegio Bolivar
Bonilla, a sophomore midfielder, scored three goals and an assist during the week, including two goals and an assist in a 9-1 win over Cornell Nov. 1 to help the Duhawks clinch their third straight Iowa Conference title and fourth title overall. He also scored a goal in a 3-2 win over Augustana (Ill.) Oct. 28.

Brett McKenzie, Central College, Lindenhurst, Ill./Antioch
McKenzie, a sophomore forward, scored one goal and initiated the play that resulted in an own goal for Central’s other score in a 2-1 Dutch win at Wartburg Oct. 25. He helped Central record back-to-back wins over regionally ranked opponents, also recording an assist in a 3-2 win over No. 11 Loras Oct. 22.

Adam Pyzdrowski, Luther College, Minnetonka, Minn./Hopkins
Pyzdrowski, a junior midfielder, led Luther in scoring last week, helping the Norse to wins over Cornell (8-2) and regionally-ranked Gustavus Adolphus (2-0). He also scored the game-winner in a 2-1 double overtime victory over Saint John’s (Minn.). He recorded a goal in each of the three games.

Trent Michael, Wartburg College, Urbandale, Iowa/Urbandale
Michael, a junior goalkeeper, posted three shutouts in net during the Knights’ 3-0 week and helped lead Wartburg to its seventh consecutive 10-plus win campaign. He currently has a scoreless streak of 329 minutes, 5 seconds. (IIAC Male Athlete of the Week)

Geoff Miller, Wartburg College, St. Louis, Mo./University
Miller, a junior midfielder, recorded his first career hat trick as the Knights equaled the school’s single-match goals record in a 10-1 win at Cornell Oct. 4. In addition to the three goals, Miller also notched a pair of assists. It was the first double-digit goal outing for Wartburg since 2004.

Josh Youngman, Simpson College, Pella, Iowa/Pella
Youngman, a junior goalkeeper, made 10 saves in 200 minutes of shutout soccer as the Storm posted a 1-0-1 record last weekend. He made one save as Simpson opened the IIAC schedule with a 3-0 win over Buena Vista Sept. 27 and stopped nine shots in a scoreless draw at Gustavus Adolphus Sept. 28.

Greg Foote, Central College, Maple Grove, Minn./Maple Grove
Foote, a senior goalkeeper, posted a 2-0 record on the week, making five saves and allowing one goal. He shutout UW-Oshkosh 1-0 on the road Sept. 20, blanking the Titans for the first time in 27 matches dating back to Nov. 4, 2006.

Nicholas Cookston, University of Dubuque, Lincoln, Neb./Lincoln Lutheran
Cookston, a senior forward/midfielder, scored three goals and three assists as the Spartans posted shutout wins over Rockford College (5-0) and Maranatha Baptist Bible College (4-0) last week. He recorded the game-winner against Rockford.

Nate DuBois, Loras College, Lemont, Ill./Lemont
DuBois, a sophomore goalkeeper, did not allow a goal while leading Loras to a 2-0-1 record during the week. He blanked Central Region No. 5 St. Norbert and 2007 CCIW regular-season champion Carthage as the Duhawks defeated both teams by 4-0 scores at the Battle on the Border Tournament in Kenosha. DuBois also shutout UW-Platteville in a lightning-shortened contest Tuesday, Sept. 2.

Santiago Mejia, Loras College, Cali, Colombia/Colegio Bolivar
Mejia, a junior midfielder, registered three assists in the Duhawks’ 3-1 season-opening win over Clarke Aug. 29 and then scored the lone goal in No. 4 Loras’ 1-0 win over UC-Santa Cruz Aug. 31. (IIAC Male Athlete of the Week)
