Jennings, Coe College, West Des Moines, Iowa/Valley Jennings, a senior, captured individual titles at A Singles and A Doubles (w/ Scott Stegemann) at the 2008 Iowa Conference Individual Championships. Seeded eighth in the A Singles draw, he outlasted Luther’s Tim Eisele 6-1, 2-6, 1-0 (5) in the final to capture the title. Jennings then added the gold medal in A Doubles as he and Stegemann posted an 8-6 win over Luther’s Jono Martin and Scott Martin in the final. Jennings and Stegemann were not seeded. He is the sixth different Coe men’s tennis player to win the A Singles title since the Kohawks joined the IIAC at the start of the 1997-98 academic year. Jennings is also the first player since Coe’s Nick Frank (2003) to capture titles in the top flight of both singles and doubles in the same year. He helped Coe to a runner-up team finish with a win at No. 4 singles against Central and wins over both Central and Luther at No. 2 doubles (w/ Stegemann). (IIAC Male Athlete of the Week) |

Feddersen, Central College, Fort Dodge, Iowa/Fort Dodge Feddersen, a senior, moved into fifth place on Central’s career singles victories list with 55 in his career home-season finale and is just three wins shy of taking over sole possession of second place after playing at No. 1 singles the past two seasons. He picked up straight-set singles victories over No. 1 singles players from Morningside, Loras, and Luther during the week and doubles wins at No. 2 over Morningside and No. 1 over Loras. |

Eisele, Luther College, Lakeville, Minn./Apple Valley Eisele, a senior, went 2-0 in singles and paired with Harrison Whiteley to post a 1-1 record in doubles as Luther defeated Macalester 7-2 and lost at No. 5 Gustavus Adolphus 8-1. Eisele posted the only win in the dual with the Gusties, defeating Ben Tomasek at No. 5 singles 4-6 6-3, 1-0 (3). |

Stewart, University of Dubuque, Eldridge, Iowa/North Scott Stewart, a junior, has won 10 singles matches and 10 doubles matches in a row. He has helped the team to an 11-2 record overall and a 1-0 record in the Iowa Conference with Dubuque’s two losses coming to NCAA Division III No. 2 Emory University and NCAA Division I South Carolina State. |

Schlader, Wartburg College, Charles City, Iowa/Charles City Schlader, a senior, has won 10 of his last 11 singles matches after recording four straight-set wins last week. He helped Wartburg to a 3-1 dual record, moving his singles record to 14-6 and his doubles record with Tom Koenen to 5-3. |

Ariz./Arcadia Zerbib, a junior, went 3-0 on the weekend, picking up a win (6-4, 6-0) at No. 1 singles in a dual win over Cornell and pairing with Elliot Rausa for wins at No. 1 doubles over Cornell (8-3) and Wartburg (8-4) at No. 1 doubles. |

Jennings, Coe College, West Des Moines, Iowa/Valley Jennings, a senior, extended his singles winning streak to nine matches with a perfect 4-0 mark at No. 4 singles last week, surviving three set matches in duals against Vassar and SIU-Edwardsville. He also posted a 2-2 record at No. 2 doubles with playing partner Scott Stegeman. |

Henderson, Cornell College, Coleraine, Northern Ireland/Coleraine Henderson, a junior, finished the week 5-0 with two wins at No. 1 singles, two wins at No. 1 doubles and a win at No. 2 doubles. He led Cornell to a perfect 3-0 week with dual victories over Buena Vista (9-0), Bethany Lutheran (8-1) and Milwaukee School of Engineering (8-1). (IIAC Male Athlete of the Week) |

Burman, Luther College, Kolkata, India Burman, a freshman, went 5-0 on the week, picking up wins at both No. 1 singles and No. 1 doubles in dual wins over Loras (9-0) and Cornell (9-0). Burman also picked up a win at No. 3 singles against UW-Eau Claire. |

Lankelma, Coe College, Marshalltown, Iowa/Marshalltown Lankelma, a junior, has opened the spring season with a 6-2 overall record for the Kohawks. He has a 2-2 mark at No. 1 singles, posting wins in duals against Nebraska Wesleyan and Augustana (Ill.) Feb. 2 before dropping decisions in dual with NCAA Division I opponents Creighton and Western Illinois Feb. 9. Lankelma also has a 4-0 record in doubles for the Kohawks, teaming with Greg Janssen at the No. 3 position. |
