DECORAH,
IOWA . . . A special program to honor Bob Naslund,
who is retiring this spring after 42 years of service to Luther
College, will be held in the Nobel Recital Hall of Jenson-Noble
Hall of Music on Sunday, April 27 at 1:00 p.m. A reception in
the Mostrom-Bahe Lobby of Jensen-Noble Hall will follow.
All
are invited to attend this program that will feature a power
point presentation and guest speakers who will reflect on Naslund’s
coaching and teaching career.
Luther
College is a four-year liberal arts college affiliated with
the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America and is located in
Decorah, Iowa. The Norse compete in 10 men's and nine women's
intercollegiate sports.
As
a member of the Iowa Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (IIAC)
since 1922, the men have won 142 conference championships. In
1982 the IIAC expanded its championship sponsorship to include
women's sports. During this time span, the women have won 56
team titles. Combined, the Norse have captured an unmatched
198 IIAC titles.
