IOWA . . . Historic flood conditions in Cedar Rapids
have led to a mandatory evacuation of the downtown area, including
the Guaranty Bank & Trust Building at Third Street SE and
Third Avenue SE. This has necessitated the temporary relocation
of the Iowa Intercollegiate Athletic Conference office. Until
further notice, all conference operations are being conducted
at 1095 Cress Parkway in Hiawatha.
We currently can receive and respond to e-mail communications,
but power outages and telephone issues in the area are impacting
telephone service. Office telephone numbers are presently not
working. Consequently, until this issue is resolved, please
direct all Iowa Conference inquiries
to IIAC Director of Information/Assistant to the Commissioner
