| February 27 | Missy Buttry, Wartburg, Sr. | Named Iowa Conference Indoor Track and
Field Most Valuable Performer for the second time in three years. Won
the 800-meter run (2:15.96) and the mile run (4:46.06), and ran the
anchor leg of the winning distance medley relay (11:51.61, a Conference
record) leading the Knights’ to their third straight Conference Championship. |
| February 20 | Jasmine Jones-Green, Coe, Fr. | Registered three top-two finishes including an
NCAA provisional qualifying mark at the University of Iowa Open. Won
the 60-meter hurdles with a PQ time of 9.08 seconds. Also finished second
in the 200-meter dash (26.69) and 400-meter dash (1:01.00). |
| February 13 | Beth Cunningham, Central, Sr. | Won the 5000-meter run at the Nebraska
Wesleyan Prairie Wolf Invitational in a time of 17:55.67. She broke
the 23-year-old school record by nearly 30 seconds and topped her career-best
mark by 41 seconds. |
| February 6 | Jasmine Jones-Green, Coe, Fr. | Won three events at Cornell’s Hilltop Open. Broke
the 10-year-old school record in the 55-meter hurdles, winning in a
time of 8.7 seconds. Also won the 400-meter dash (61.74) and was a member
of the 4x400 meter relay team (4:14.44). |
| January 30 | Missy Buttry, Wartburg, Sr. | Won the 3000-meter run at the Iowa State Open in
a time of 9:13.02. Time was 30 seconds better than closest competitor,
broke own school record by nearly eight seconds and broke the venue
record by 11/100ths of a second. |
| January 23 | Whitney Calvert, Loras, So. | Provisionally qualified for the NCAA Championships
in the pole vault with her winning vault at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater
Invitational. Won the event by 16 inches with a jump of 11-4. |
| January 16 | Lynn Schneider, Cornell, Sr. | Won the shot put (40-1.5) and finished second in
the weight throw (42-4.25) at the Platteville Open hosted by the University
of Wisconsin-Platteville. |
