Feb. 26

Dana Klemm, Loras College, Gurnee, Ill./Warren
Klemm a junior, was named IIAC Most Valuable Performer at the Conference Championship after winning and setting Conference Championship records in both the shot put (14.19 meters) and weight throw (16.16 meters). She automatically qualified for the NCAA Championships in the shot put and bettered her NCAA provisional mark in the weight throw. She is the first field performer to earn indoor track MVP honors.

Feb. 19

Heather Axen, Cornell College, Golden, Colo./D’Evelyn
Axen, a senior, won the pole vault at the UNI-Dome Open with an NCAA provisional qualifying mark of 3.40 meters, besting the field by 0.15 meters. Her mark is currently the 17th-best in Division III.

Feb. 12

Sherri Schenkel, Univ. of Dubuque, Lehigh Acres, Fla./Dunbar
Schenkel, a freshman, was part of three school records at the Monmouth (Ill.) Fighting Scots Invitational. She set the school record with her first-place finish in the 200-meter dash (27.02) and third-place finish in the 55-meter dash (7.62). She was also a member of the winning sprint medley relay team (4:29.33) that set the school record.

Feb. 5

Caroline Capper, Simpson College, Washington, Iowa/Washington
Capper, a senior, won the weight throw and shot put at the Cornell Hilltop Invitational. For the third straight week she broke her own school record and bettered her previous NCAA provisional qualifying mark in the weight throw with a mark of 15.46 meters, winning the event by nearly two meters. She also set the school record and provisionally qualified for the NCAA Championships with a 12.93 meter throw of the shot put.

Jan. 29

KeAnna Martin, Buena Vista Univ., St. Louis, Mo./Gateway Inst. Of Technology
Martin, a sophomore, was a three-time winner at the Buena Vista Open. She won the 200-meter dash in 26.94 seconds, the Conference’s top time in the event to date. She was also a member of two winning relay teams, the 4x200 (1:48.98) and the 4x400 (4:16.14), running 26.2-second and 60-second splits, respectively.

Jan. 22

Dana Klemm, Loras College, Gurnee, Ill./Warren
Klemm, a junior, won two events at the Wisconsin-Whitewater Triangular including the shot put with an NCAA Championships provisional qualifying throw of 12.90 meters. She also won the weight throw with a mark of 14.81 meters.

Jan. 15

Caroline Capper, Simpson College, Washington, Iowa/Washington
Capper, a senior, won the weight throw and shot put at the Graceland Invitational. Her throw of 48-9 in the weight throw broke her own school record and provisionally qualified her for the NCAA Championship. She won the shot put with a throw of 37-0.5.
