Hannah Baker, Wartburg College, Keota, Iowa/Keota
Baker, a junior, recorded automatic national qualifying times and set school records in both the 400 and as part of Wartburg’s 4x400 relay at Saturday’s Iowa State Last Chance Qualifier. She finished fourth in the 400 with a time of 55.88, while the 4x400 relay finished ninth with a time of 3:46.43. Both times are Division III season best times. (IIAC Female Athlete of the Week)

Ashley Schnell, Coe College, Lincoln, Neb./North Star
Schnell, a sophomore, was named the Most Valuable Performer at the 2009 Iowa Conference Indoor Track & Field Championships. She won the 800 in 2:16.69, the mile in 5:11.10, and ran on the winning 4x800 relay, which set a new IIAC record with a 9:28.46 clocking. (IIAC Female Athlete of the Week)

4x400-meter relay team, Wartburg College
The team consisting of junior Jenny Kordick (Truro, Iowa/Interstate 35), freshman Nevada Morrison (Chicago, Ill./Proviso East), senior Kelsey Steffens (DeWitt, Iowa/Central Clinton), and junior Hannah Baker (Keota, Iowa/Keota) set a new school record and recorded the fasted time in Division III this season with a 3:50.84 clocking at the Wartburg Invitational Feb. 21. The quartet defeated the field by nearly nine seconds.

Lauren Bucklin, Simpson College, Bondurant, Iowa/Bondurant-Farrar
Bucklin, a junior, won the 55-meter hurdles at the Buena Vista Dennis Young Classic with a school record and NCAA Championship automatic qualifying time of 8.18 seconds. Running the fourth fastest time in the nation this season, she bettered the old Simpson mark by five-tenths of a second. She also ran on the winning 4x200 relay (1:47.46) and finished second in the 200 (26.47).

Akeya Aimable, Wartburg College, Waterloo, Iowa/West
Aimable, a senior, set a new school record in the triple jump, posting an NCAA provisional mark of 38-2 ¾. She also posted an NCAA-provisional time with a third-place finish in the 55 dash (7.29) and took second in the 200 (26.23).

Faith Burt, Wartburg College, Cedar Falls, Iowa/Cedar Falls
Burt, a freshman, captured the title in both the 55m (7.17 in final) and 200m (25.92) dashes in a Jan. 31 dual against Augustana (Ill.). Her 55m time currently ranks third in Division III and is an NCAA-provisional time. Burt also set a new Wartburg and Hoover Fieldhouse standard in the event.

Madison Craw, Cornell College, Mason City, Iowa/Mason City
Craw, a sophomore, posted an NCAA provisional mark in the shot put with her winning effort of 43-9 at the Cornell Invitational. She currently ranks third this season in Division III. Craw also took sixth in the weight throw (42-8).

Faith Burt, Wartburg College, Cedar Falls, Iowa/Cedar Falls
Burt, a freshman, won the 60-meter dash in an NCAA provisional qualifying time of 7.72 seconds. Competing in her first collegiate meet, she recorded the nation’s second-fasted time, defeating a 10-runner field that included recent Wartburg All-Americans Jenny Kordick and Akeya Aimable by .31/100 of a second.
