Nov. 5

Whitney Franker, Simpson College, Urbandale, Iowa/Urbandale
Franker, a sophomore goalkeeper, recorded two shutouts and made 15 saves in the Iowa Conference women’s soccer Tournament. She made 10 saves in a 3-0 Simpson victory over Wartburg in the semifinals. In the Championship match, she made five saves in a double-overtime scoreless tie before Loras advanced, 3-1, on penalty kicks.

Oct. 29

Stephanie Ellwanger, Central College, Indianola, Iowa/Indianola
Ellwanger, a junior forward/midfielder, scored two goals, including the game winner in the 83rd minute, in Central’s 4-3 victory over Wartburg giving the Dutch its first win over Wartburg since 2000.

Oct. 22
Ashley Curran, Simpson College, Omaha, Neb./Millard West
Curran, a senior forward, finished the week with three goals and three assists for nine points in two games. She recorded her sixth career hat trick in a 4-0 victory over Central, including the game winner. In a 9-0 win over Coe, Curran registered three assists, one shy of the school record.

Andi Hudgens, Wartburg College, Batavia, Ill./Batavia
Hudgens, a junior midfielder, scored four goals and had two assists for 10 points in two games during the week. She scored a goal and had two assists in Wartburg’s 9-0 victory over Buena Vista, and recorded her first career hat trick with three goals, including the game winner, in a 7-2 win over Dubuque.
Oct. 8
Jenny McArdle, Coe College, Sioux City, Iowa/West
McArdle, a junior forward/midfielder, scored all three Coe goals during the week. She scored twice on five shots in a 2-1 win over Central, and once on five shots in a 1-0 win over Buena Vista.
Oct. 1
Ashley Curran, Simpson College, Omaha, Neb./Millard West
Curran, a senior forward, scored four goals and added two assists for 10 points in two games during the week. She scored Simpson lone goal in a 4-1 loss to Augustana (Ill.). In an 8-0 Conference win over Buena Vista, she scored three goals, including the game winner, and had two assists.
Sept. 24
Lilly Steinberg, Luther College, Portland, Ore./LaSalle
Steinberg, a senior goalkeeper, went 1-0-1 with a 0.82 goals against average and an .895 save percentage in two games. She made 10 saves in a 0-0 double-overtime tie with Carleton, Luther’s third straight scoreless tie. In the Iowa Conference opener, she made seven saves in a 3-2 overtime victory over Wartburg including three saves in nine minutes of overtime.
Sept. 17

Tori Rittman, Central College, Ankeny, Iowa/Ankeny
Rittman, a junior forward, scored four goals and had an assist for nine points in three games during the week. She scored the lone goal in a 1-0 Central victory over Crown. In an 8-0 victory over Waldorf, she scored three goals and had an assist. She was held scoreless in a 1-0 win over Monmouth (Ill.).

Sept. 10
Sara Bleeker, Cornell College, Apple Valley, Minn./Eastview
Bleeker, a sophomore midfielder, scored five goals and added an assist for 11 points in three games during the week. In the Rams’ 6-0 victory over Concordia (Ill.), she scored a school record four goals including the game winner. She scored Cornell’s lone goal in a 9-1 loss to Wisconsin-LaCrosse and registered an assist in a 5-1 victory over Waldorf.
Sept. 3
Shawna Becker, Cornell College, Wheeling, Ill./Wheeling
Becker, a junior goal keeper, led Cornell to its first 2-0 start in school history with back-to-back shutouts of Knox and Northwestern (Minn.) colleges. She made four saves in the Rams’ 5-0 victory over Knox and five saves in a 1-0 victory over Northwestern.
