Alex Proctor, Loras College, Tipton, Iowa/Tipton
Proctor, a sophomore, broke a 9-year-old Loras record in the 50 freestyle with a 25.30 clocking in a 156-74 dual loss to Luther Jan. 29. In the race, she out-touched Luther’s Rachel Bruns to win by 0.01 seconds. Proctor also won the 100 butterfly (1:02.10) and swam on the runner-up 400 medley relay (4:20.52) against the Norse. She repeated her win in the 50 freestyle (25.64) and swam on the Duhawks’ winning 200 medley relay (2:00.11) in a double-dual sweep of Iowa Central (61-31) and College of Saint Mary (64-31) Jan. 30.

Rebecca Herman, Coe College, Iowa City, Iowa/West
Herman, a freshman, swept the 1-meter and 3-meter diving events in duals against Augustana (Ill.) and Luther over the weekend. She recorded season-best scores of 215.6 on the 1-meter board and 221.35 on the 3-meter board against Luther.

Addison Choi, Luther College, Centennial, Colo./Grandview
Choi, a junior, won the 200 freestyle (1:59.71) and 500 freestyle (5:21.25) and swam on Luther’s winning 200 freestyle (2nd leg – 1:42.47), 400 freestyle (2nd leg – 3:42.67), and 800 freestyle (anchor leg – 8:11.72) as the Norse won the 10-team Grinnell Invitational. Choi also placed second in the 100 freestyle (55.16) and fourth in the 50 freestyle (25.95) at the meet.

Kenzie Murray, Loras College, Muscatine, Iowa/Muscatine
Murray, a junior, won the 100 breaststroke (1:11.73), 200 breaststroke (2:33.21), 200 IM (2:21.18), and was a member of Loras’ winning 200 medley relay (2:02.83) in a 150-86 dual victory over Morningside Jan. 9..

Stephanie Drewes, Luther College, West Union, Iowa/North Fayette
Drewes, a sophomore, won both the 100 breaststroke (1:07.56) and 200 breaststroke (2:27.68) at the Wis.-River Falls Invitational. She set school records in both events and also posted a B-Cut qualifying mark in the 100 (B-Cut mark is 1:07.57). Drewes also swam on Luther’s first place 400 medley relay.

Kenzie Murray, Loras College, Muscatine, Iowa/Muscatine
Murray, a junior, won two individual events in each of Loras’ duals last weekend. She won the 400 IM (4:57.68) and 200 breaststroke (2:32.40) in a 168-72 dual loss to Grinnell Nov. 20 and added wins in the 50 freestyle (29.89) and 400 freestyle (5:02.08) in a 117-53 win at Simpson Nov. 21. Murray also swam on a runner-up 400 medley relay (4:17.71) against Grinnell and a third-place 200 freestyle relay (2:08.85) against Simpson.

Keely Goshia, Simpson College, Mead, Colo./Niwot
Goshia, a freshman, shattered the Simpson school record in the 200-yard butterfly with a winning time of 2:30.07 at the Morningside Invitational. She also placed third in the 200 IM, fifth in the 100 backstroke and swam on a pair of third-place relays. (IIAC Female Athlete of the Week)

Elise DesRoches, Luther College, Plymouth, Minn./Wayzata
DesRoches, a junior, won the 6-dive voluntary 1-meter diving competition in a 160-62 dual loss to St. Cloud State. Her score of 245.85 edged the 244.89 posted by SCSU’s Cassi Mrozek, a 2009 NCAA Division II national qualifier.

Elise DesRoches, Luther College, Plymouth, Minn./Wayzata
DesRoches, a junior, won the 5-dive optional (169.58) and 6-dive voluntary (256.94) 1-meter diving competitions in a double dual sweep of Morningside (77-28) and Simpson (81-24).
