Nov. 6
Katie Pederson, Central College, Lake Mills, Iowa/Lake Mills
Pederson, a senior middle hitter, averaged 3.0 kills and 1.11 blocks per game, and hit .413 during the week as Central posted 3-0 victories over Wartburg, Coe and Simpson. Pederson had 10 kills, a .353 hitting percentage (10 kills-4 errors-17 total attempts) and two blocks in the regular season finale against Wartburg to clinch Central’s 10th straight Conference title. In the IIAC Tournament semifinals against Coe, she had nine kills, hit .467 (9-2-15) and had two blocks. She had eight kills, a .429 hitting percentage (8-2-14) and six blocks in the Championship match against Simpson.

Oct. 30
Ashley Rogers, Wartburg College, Dubuque, Iowa/Wahlert
Rogers, a sophomore outside hitter, averaged 5.31 kills, 3.38 digs and 1.44 blocks in 16 games while hitting .298 in four matches. She had a triple-double in a 3-1 win over Augustana (Ill.) with 21 kills, 19 digs and 11 blocks. She had double-doubles in a 3-1 win over Illinois-Springfield (22 kills-15 digs) and in a 3-2 win over Cornell (25 kills-13 digs). In a sweep of Missouri Valley, Rogers hit .412 (17-3-34). Her 23 block assists gave her a school record 167 total blocks and 133 block assists on the season.
Oct. 23
Terri Berger, Central, Sioux City, Iowa/Heelan
Berger, a sophomore setter, averaged 11.18 assists per game in four matches during the week. She also had 20 digs, 16 kills, eight blocks and hit .361 as Central went 3-1 at the Wisconsin-Whitewater Invitational. In a 3-0 win over #8-Elmhurst, Berger had 39 assists, seven kills and two blocks. She had 35 assists, eight digs, two blocks and three kills in a 3-0 loss to #5-Wisconsin-Whitewater. In just two games of a 3-0 win over Edgewood, she had 16 assists and two blocks, and finished her weekend with 33 kills, five digs, four kills and two blocks in a 3-0 win over Wisconsin-River Falls. Oct. 16
Jessica Martin, Simpson, Toledo, Iowa/South Tama
Martin, a junior middle hitter, hit .361, averaged 3.56 kills, 3.11 digs and posted three double-doubles in five matches during the week. In a 3-0 Conference victory over Loras, she hit .625, had 11 kills and 13 digs. She hit .500 with 10 kills and nine digs in a 3-0 loss to Biola, the 21st-ranked team in the NAIA. In a four-game upset victory over #6 LaVerne, Martin had 15 kills and 11 digs, posting a .308 hitting percentage. She had 17 kills, 20 digs and three blocks with a .341 hitting percentage in a 3-2 victory over Redlands, and finished the week with 11 kills, four aces, three digs and three blocks in a 3-0 win over LaSierra. Jessica Martin, Simpson, Toledo, Iowa/South Tama
Martin, a junior middle hitter, averaged 4.52 kills, 1.57 digs, 0.90 blocks and 0.43 aces per game in 21 games during the week as Simpson went 4-1. In a 3-0 Conference victory over Luther she set a school record for highest hitting percentage in a three-game match at .778 (14 kills-0 errors-18 total attacks). She was named to the IIAC-MIAC Border Battle All-Tournament Team after leading Simpson to a 3-1 record. She posted a career high 25 kills in a 3-2 win over Gustavus Adolphus in match in which she hit .463, had 10 digs and five blocks. She had 22 kills and hit .362 to go along with nine digs and seven blocks in a 3-2 win over St. Olaf. She had 13 kills, five digs, three aces and three blocks in a 3-0 win over Macalester. In the Storm’s lone defeat of the week, 3-2 to St. Mary’s (Minn.), Martin had 21 kills, eight digs and three blocks.
Oct. 2
Sheena Treanor, Wartburg, Dubuque, Iowa/Wahlert
Treanor, a junior middle hitter, hit .241, averaged 2.76 kills and 1.24 blocks per game in five matches during the week as Wartburg extended its win streak to seven straight. In a five-game Conference win over Buena Vista, she hit .260 with 18 kills and four blocks. In 16 games (four matches) at the Loras Invitational, she posted 40 kills and hit .232 including a 15 kill performance against Ashford, a 10 kill performance against Loras and a .643 hitting percentage against St. Catherine. She had eight blocks against Ashford, six blocks against St. Catherine, and four blocks against Loras and Clarke.
Sept. 25
Taylor Foltz, Dubuque, Mt. Carroll, Ill./Mt. Carroll
Foltz, a senior middle blocker, hit .558, averaged 4.50 kills, 1.22 blocks and 1.06 digs per game in five matches during the week. In a 3-1 loss to Simpson, she hit .531 with 19 kills, five digs and four blocks, then led Dubuque to a 4-0 weekend at the Clarke Invitational. She hit .650 with 15 kills, two digs and three blocks in a 3-0 win over Viterbo. In a 3-1 victory over Cornell she hit .531 with 20 kills, seven digs and three blocks. Foltz hit .462 with 15 kills, four digs and six blocks in a 3-1 victory over Milwaukee School of Engineering. She finished the week hitting .684 with 13 kills and six blocks in a 3-0 win over Clarke.
Sept. 18
Jena Goedken, Dubuque, Lamont, Iowa/Starmont
Goedken, a sophomore outside hitter/middle blocker, averaged 4.71 kills, 4.29 digs, and 0.57 blocks while hitting .435 in two matches during the week. In a 3-1 victory over Luther, she hit .286, had 15 kills, 24 digs and three blocks. Goedken hit .630 with 18 kills, six digs and a block in a 3-0 victory over Grinnell.
Sept. 11
Jodi Thomas, Dubuque, Durand, Ill./Durand
Thomas, a senior middle blocker/outside hitter, averaged 4.35 kills and 2.00 blocks, and hit .459 in 17 games during the week. In Dubuque’s Conference opener, a 3-1 victory over Loras, she hit .371 with 18 kills and five blocks. Thomas was named to the Wisconsin-Platteville All-Tournament Team as the Spartans went 2-2 with their two losses at the hands of nationally ranked Platteville (#16) and Wisconsin-LaCrosse (#14). In wins over Ripon (3-0) and Monmouth (3-1), Thomas hit .611 and .469, respectively with 14 and 20 kills, and six and 10 blocks. She hit .412 with 10 kills and six blocks against Platteville and hit .500 with 12 kills and seven blocks against LaCrosse. (IIAC Female Athlete of the Week)
Sept. 4
Jodi Thomas, Dubuque, Durand Ill./Durand
Thomas, a senior middle blocker/outside hitter, averaged 4.86 kills, 2.07 blocks and 0.86 digs, and hit .486 in 14 games during the week as Dubuque went 2-2 at the Elmhurst Invitational. In victories over Blackburn (3-0) and Olivet (3-2), she had 17 and 20 kills, respectively, while hitting .467 and .548. She had 10 blocks against Blackburn and eight blocks against Olivet. In losing efforts to Carthage (3-0) and Elmhurst (3-1), Thomas had 16 and 15 kills, respectively, while hitting .393 and .550. She had six blocks against Carthage and five blocks against Elmhurst.
