Terri Berger, Central College, Sioux City, Iowa/Bishop Heelan
Berger, a senior setter, posted back-to-back matches with statistical triple-doubles to lead the Dutch to the Iowa Conference Volleyball Tournament title and a berth in the NCAA Division III Volleyball Championship. She also led the team in kills in both matches despite playing the setter position. In a semifinal win over Simpson, Berger hit .375 with a team-high 13 kills while adding 30 assists, 11 digs, two service aces and a block assist. In the tournament final against Coe, Berger hit .429 with 13 kills, 40 assists, 11 digs and a block assist. (IIAC Female Athlete of the Week)
Oct. 28
Ashley Rogers, Wartburg College, Dubuque, Iowa/Wahlert
Rogers, a senior middle hitter, moved over the 2,000-kill mark for her career and broke former All-American Dia Dohlman’s single-season kill record at the Trinity University National Invitational where she was named to the All-Tournament Team. Rogers has posted double-figures in kills in 23 straight matches. In five matches during the week, Rogers posted 80 kills (4.0/game), 63 digs (3.15/game), and 23 total blocks. She has been named to the All-Tournament Team in all five tournaments for Wartburg.

Kristy Upah, Coe College, Toledo, Iowa/South Tama
Upah
, a senior setter, was named Most Valuable Player of the Mississippi River Tournament as the Kohawks posted a 5-0 record on the week. Upah posted 247 total assists (12.35 per game) and 67 digs (3.35 per game) in 20 games. She nearly recorded a triple-double (7 kills, 63 assists, 24 digs) Tuesday, October 16 as she helped Coe snap a six-match losing streak with a five-game win over Wartburg. Oct. 14

Ashley Rogers, Wartburg College, Dubuque, Iowa/Wahlert
Rogers
, a senior outside hitter/middle hitter, led Wartburg to a 3-2 record on the week, earning all-tournament honors at the Wartburg Invitational in the process. Rogers notched 96 kills and 60 digs in 17 games, averaging 5.65 and 3.53 per game, respectively, and recorded double-doubles in four of five matches. Rogers topped the team in kills (96), block assists (23), solo blocks (4) and was second-highest in service aces (7). She also moved over the 400-kill mark for the fourth time in her career.

Oct. 7

Kristin Paczosa, Cornell College, Arlington Heights, Ill./Buffalo Grove
Paczosa, a sophomore outside hitter, set two school records during the week and was named to the All-Tournament Team at the Hamline section of the IIAC-MIAC Border Battle. Paczosa set Cornell's single-match record for attack attempts with 71 in a five-game win over Buena Vista Oct. 2. Paczosa broke Cornell's single-match record for kills with 29 in a five-game win over Hamline Oct. 5. For the week, Paczosa averaged 4.21 kills and 3.68 digs in 19 games.

Sept. 30
Ashley Rogers, Wartburg College, Dubuque, Iowa/Wahlert
Rogers, a senior middle/outside hitter, earned Most Valuable Player honors at the Simpson Storm Invitational. She tallied an attack percentage of .300 or better in three of four matches at the tournament including a five-game win over No. 18-ranked UW-La Crosse as the Knights captured the tournament title. Rogers has hit .245 or higher in nine straight matches and enters this weekend’s IIAC/MIAC Border Battle just 174 kills shy of setting a new Wartburg career record.
Sept. 23
Jena Goedken, University of Dubuque, Lamont, Iowa/Starmont
Goedken, a senior middle blocker, helped the University of Dubuque to a 3-2 record on the week, including a 3-1 mark at the Clarke College Invitational, where she was named to the All-Tournament Team. Goedken posted 92 kills in four matches at the Clarke Tournament after opening the week with a 13-kill performance in a three-game loss at Simpson. Goedken also averaged 1.69 blocks per game on the week.
Sept. 16
Kristin Paczosa, Cornell College, Arlington Heights, Ill./Buffalo Grove
Paczosa, a sophomore outside hitter, registered double-digit kills in four matches (3.4 kills/game) as Cornell went 2-2 on the week. Paczosa opened the week with an 11-kill performance in a IIAC sweep of Loras Sept. 11 and followed that up with 16 kills in a 3-1 non-conference victory over Mount Mercy the next evening. At the Augustana Invitational over the weekend, Paczosa posted 11 (vs. Monmouth) and 10 (vs. Augustana) kills respectively. She also added 12 digs against Monmouth.
Sept. 9
Terri Berger, Central College, Sioux City, Iowa/Bishop Heelan
Berger, a senior setter, was named to the All-Tournament Team at the Washington (Mo.) National Invitational in a field that included four nationally ranked teams. In five matches (16 games) during the week, Berger accumulated 20 kills, 210 assists (13.12 per game), and 51 digs (3.19 per game).
Sept. 2
Tara Christensen, Simpson College, Hinton, Iowa/Hinton
Christensen, a sophomore setter, was named Most Valuable Player at the season-opening NYU Labor Day Invitational in New York City. In four matches at the Invitational, she hit .286, averaged 11.58 assists per game and posted 15 digs and 12 service aces while leading the Storm to a 4-0 mark that included a 3-0 upset of No. 20 NYU. In the win over the host Violets, Christensen posted 31 assists, seven digs, six assists, and three kills in the win over the host Violets. She posted a season-high 44 assists in Simpson’s 3-0 win over SUNY-Geneseo Sept. 1. (IIAC Female Athlete of the Week)
